Francisco Lopez is a Physical Education teacher at Coral park elementary
school in Miami. Pancho was born in Mexico and was a world class athlete
while attending college in El Paso Texas. Panch0 then moved to Miami where
he has been teaching at CPE for the past 8 years. Coach Lopez was formally
introduced to the sport of jai-alai in 2007. Shortly thereafter, he introduced the
cesta to over 300 students at CPE selecting the top 40 players to participate in
a field trip to Miami Jai-alai.
Through his experience of working with kids, coach Lopez was essential in
establishing drills and exercises to help the future pelotaris' create good habits
as they learn to play the sport of jai-alai.
