Daniel Love is considered to be among the Best American Backcouters to
play the game. Daniel is a native of Clearwater Beach, Florida where he was
born in 1964. He began to learn the game of jai-alai at five and entered the
North Miami jai-alai school shortly thereafter. He was trained by the now
legendary "Epifanio" and later by Aparicio. He began his professional career
at the Fort Pierce fronton in 1985. He quickly distinguished himself among the
sports best backcourts and went on to play at both Tampa and Miami jai-alai.
He left professional play in the united states in 1990 to compete in the
prestigious partido series in Mexico city where he continued to distinguish
himself among the sports best players. In 1992, he won the prestigious
"Fernando Diaz Barroso" competition with "Inclan". Upon his return to the
united states he became the only backcouter to win the N.A.J.F. Tournament
three times along with his partner Daniel Michelena. Among his other
achievements are two Miami jai-alai Double Championships and Two Tampa
Triple Crown Titles.
