Benny began to play jai-alai in 1975 at the age of 11 where he
became known for his power and ability to play both front and
backcourt. He began his professional career in Ft. Pierce Florida in
1981 and was subsequently promoted to the more competitive, Miami
roster. From 1992 to 1998, Benny was among the hardest throwing
frontcourts in the sport. He won the most wins title in 1985 and the
more prestigious N.A.J.F championship in 1992. He also won the
National Tournament of Champions with co-founder Daniel in 1994.
He switched to the backcourt in 1998 where he has won two backcourt
doubles championships and back to back singles titles. Benny
Remains a goodwill ambassador for the sport and will long be
remembered for his professionalism, power and sense of humor.
